Kebbi Government Denies Reports On Non -payment Of WAEC/NECO Fees
The Kebbi state government has denied reports that it is
yet to settle WAEC and NECO examinations fees for the
year 2013.
In a statement he issued in Birnin Kebbi on Monday, the
State Commissioner for Education, Alhaji Sama'ila
Kamba, said that media reports on the alleged non-
payment of the fees, were incorrect.
Kamba blamed the false reports on the delay in the
release of the names of candidates entered for the two
examinations.
"The Ministry of Education would not hesitate to ensure
that the education sector was upgraded in line with the
policy of the present regime to give free education to all",
he said.
The commissioner called on media organisations to always
cross-check their facts and figures before publication.
