This Is A New Level Of Stupid': Cheryl Cole Hits Out Reports She Shared New Year's Kiss With 20-Year-Old
It all started when the singer shared a photo on her Instagram page of her puckering up to a cute little boy on New Year's Eve, with the star captioning her photo "My New Years kiss".
Despite the fact that Cheryl is clearly hanging out with a child in the photo, student Tom Julius was soon telling media outlets that it was him who shared a snog with Cheryl at a Cape Town club.
Cheryl did post a picture of her cosying up to the 20-year-old on her Instagram page, which was included as part of a montage of people she partied with on NYE, but some media outlets claimed it was Julius in the kissing shot and not the nine-year-old boy.
Cheryl has now hit out at the mix up and Julius' claims that the star kissed him. Posting a headline from one of the reports on her Instagram page, Cheryl wrote on Sunday:
"I just saw this on my twitter and had to laugh! The best thing about the ridiculousness of this whole imaginary story/made up guy or whatever is that you all can plainly see what rubbish these papers ect talk. This is clearly a child! Look at him ! His name is Ben and he is 9 years old. That's enough now. Come on now for goodness sake. This is a new level of stupid".
The star continued her explanation on her Twitter page, telling her followers that the reports had made her upset after such a fun New Year's meeting new people:
"It's actually making me sad I had such a lovely new year and was more than happy to spend time and take pictures with people... ..."
"Now somehow a 9 year old child who gave me a kiss has turned into me kissing a random 20yr old! Can't do right for doing wrong seriously".
"Anyway.. I hope you're all doing good, happy and ready for the new year x", the star concluded.
