Kristen Stewart Claims She Can't 'Control' Who She Loves Following Robert Pattinson Split
The actress dated her Twilight co-star for four years finally calling it quits in May 2013. However a break up had been on the cards since July 2012 after it was revealed Kristen had cheated on the British hunk with the married director of her movie Snow White and The Huntsman, Rupert Sanders.
After pictures of the couple kissing in a car were published by Us Weekly, Kristen made a grovelling public apology to her boyfriend, who appeared to take her back as they were photographed together just weeks later.
While she doesn't name Robert or Rupert directly in the interview the Camp X-Ray actress admitted she's realised love isn't something she can "control".
She told the March issue of Marie Claire magazine: "You don't know who you will fall in love with. You just don't. You don't control it.
"Some people have certain things, like, 'That's what I'm going for,' and I have a subjective version of that.
"I don't pressure myself... if you fall in love with someone, you want to own them - but really why would you want that. You want them to be what you love."
Now single the brunette admitted her life is pretty laidback and she's not putting any pressure on finding love in the future.
"I mean, at this point, I can't even tell you if I want to hang out on Saturday," she said.
Though that doesn't mean Kristen isn't open to settling down and having children she added, referring to her own childhood she said: "I had it too good, to not have that, too. If I were to put money on it, definitely, yeah. But you earn that, like, that's so not here yet."
