The Voice's Will.i.am Rules Out Flirting With Fellow Stars As 'Dangerous And A Waste Of Time'

You won't be catching Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.i.am flirting up a storm with any famous member of the opposite sex after he stated that doing so is "dangerous and a waste of time" for him.

The star, who can currently be seen coaching on The Voice UK, told the Metro that he has never thought of flirting with the likes of Britney Spears who he has worked with or anyone who wants to have their 15 minutes of fame.

He said: "I am not attracted to people in search of the spotlight. Dating anybody famous or somebody searching for fame is dangerous and just a waste of time, for me. And if they've already got it, I won't be attracted to them."

Insisting that he can't "flirt and work" at the same time, the hitmaker continued to comment:

"Out of all the coaches, I produce and write songs for other people and the last thing you want to do is be in the studio flirting with Gaga or flirting with Britney. You're not going to get work done [if you are] flirting with Fergie.

"Or flirting with f***ing Usher. You are never going to get work done. I can't, by nature of my craft, I can't flirt and work."

Meanwhile, the star brought the show to a standstill for 15 minutes when he went to the toilet. In Saturday night's show, Will was seen excusing himself by asking host Marvin Humes: "Can I use the rest room? I'll be back."

But he wasn't back for 15 minutes and as a result, fellow coach Ricky Wilson went to go and look for him. However, nothing untoward was happening as the star explained later that he went to the toilet to think.

Having seen his acts Kiki De Ville and James Bryon sing against one another in a battle round; it seems that the star needed to have some time alone to make the right decision in what singer to put through to the next round.

On his return will told the studio: "I just needed to clear my head."

Host Marvin Humes laughed off Will's disappearance saying: "I guess we all need to use the toilet."
