Dapper Windscreen Cleaner, Olatoyan Gets Featured on CNN

Luck has finally shone on Olatoya Abdullahi, the Abeokuta windscreen cleaner whose photos went viral days ago and drew the attention of designer and celebrity stylist, Uche Nnaji.

Today, the university drop-out who took on the street job has been featured on CNN, just as Uche Nnaji confirms he will be resuming work in his company, OUCH.

His grass-to-grace story started almost like former breadseller Olajumoke Orisaguna's inspiring tale – Olatoyan was also captured by a Nigerian photographer, Daniel Sync, who was impressed by his works and looks, and decided to share the pictures on social media.

Speaking with CNN, Olatoyan said he took up the squeegee job with hopes that he would raise money to go back to school and conclude his studies.

"I didn't want to be wandering the streets doing nothing" he said, and asked why he chose to dress up for the job, he said he wanted people to know that he was 'serious about his work'.

Now, Olatoyan has been employed as a 'Style Doctor' in Nnaji's clothing company.

According to CNN, here's what the designer said:

"I have a team of young people that I call style doctors. When I saw him I thought this person is someone that likes looking good and can style others.

I saw attitude in him and thought if this man is doing this just to go and wash cars, he is someone that will work with a different mindset even if he's doing the least popular job in the company."
