5 Valid Reasons Why Tiwa Savage’s Self Acclaimed ‘Failure’ Was Incorrect

Superstar singer, Tiwa Savage has expressed regret over the way she opened up on her private life to the scrutiny of the world during the heat of her marital crisis. She went as far as calling herself a failure for 'exposing her private life too much".

She also threatened to ignore the media in the future, suggesting that they caused more harm than good.

"My biggest failure was exposing my private life too much. There will always be speculation, but by addressing it you are adding more fuel to the fire. I now choose not to address anything," she said in the latest issue of Elle South Africa magazine in an article tagged "Keeping Up With Tiwa".

While she should actually regret talking too much in the staged interview she had with ThisDay's Azuka (It was way too long. 45 Minutes!) she made the correct decision to address the issue in the first place for the following reasons…

TeeBillz's IG Post Was Too Damaging To Ignore:

Her husband Mr. Tunji Balogun a.k.a Tee Billz went on Instagram on Thursday, April 28, 2016 and made several damaging posts where he accused her of infidelity and threatened to commit suicide, many Nigerians immediately formed a nasty opinion of Tiwa. It was her side of the story that redeemed her to a large extent.

Her Endorsement Deals Were At Stake: 

Tiwa Savage is a major brand in Africa and as such boasts of multiple endorsement deals with some big international brands. It is not unheard of that brands terminate contracts with individuals because of scandals that might bring their image into disrepute.

Their Celebrity Friends' Intervention Had Failed:

 Their marriage had actually crumbled long before Teebillz went public with it. And some of their celebrity friends had tried in vain to mend things between them. It made no point, however, for her to remain silent and allow the naysayers keep having their say to her detriment when it wasn't as if the matter would be settled soon.

Addressing Speculations Correctly Doesn't Add Fire:

 She also got it completely wrong when she said that responding to speculations adds fire because in these parts, we believe that there is no smoke without fire. While it makes sense that you do not respond to all speculations (Journalists Create Speculations themselves) Issues such as the one she had with Teebillz are not ignorable because of reason 1 above.

As one of the most loved and followed female entertainer in Nigeria, fans love to hear her and hear about her. Just like they follow the Kardashians religiously, they show Tiwa so much love and are not as judgmental about her as much as she might think.
