President Buhari’s son, Yusuf unconscious after suffering head injury in Power Bike crash on boxing day
According to reports making rounds online, President Buhari’s only son, Yusuf, was last night involved in an accident.
DailyPost.ng reports that he was riding his power bike when the crash occurred.
He was reportedly racing with a friend in the capital city. He veered off the road and crashed as he tried to overtake his friend’s car.
“He lay there unconscious for a while before the first lady was alerted,” a family source told DAILY NIGERIAN.
He was rushed to a hospital where he is currently being treated. There are reports that he may be flown abroad for treatment.
Reports reveal that Yusuf is currently at an emergency ward at Cedacrest Hospital in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
The extent of the injury is not yet known but doctors are said to be monitoring his condition keenly.
“She ordered that he be immediately rushed to Cedarcrest Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment. We are more concerned about the head injury than the fractures. As I speak to you, Yusuf is unconscious. An air ambulance may take him out of the country any moment,” the source added.
The Presidential spokesman, Femi Adeshina has confirmed the accident but said he’s about to get the full brief on what happened.
Yusuf bagged his Master’s Degree in the United Kingdom in July 2016.
He and Zahra graduated from the University of Surrey, Guildford.
