'He Still Cares About Her': Liam Hemsworth 'Reaches Out To Miley Cyrus' As Singer Continues Hospital Stay

Liam Hemsworth has reportedly been in touch with his former fiancee Miley Cyrus after she was hospitalised this week for a severe allergic reaction.

Miley has been forced to postpone the remainder of the US leg of her BANGERZ tour as she continues to receive treatment in hospital. And while she's had her Twitter family for company, regularly tweeting updates from her sick bed, reports suggest the star's former love Liam has reached out too.

"Liam still cares about Miley," Showbiz Spy reports a source as saying. "They didn't work out as a couple, but he still wants to know that she's okay.

"He was extremely worried when he heard Miley was hospitalized, so he got in touch to find out how she is."

Miley revealed in a statement this week that her kind of ailment could take between five and 27 days to recover from, forcing her to postpone dates on her tour although she still hopes to recover in time for the European leg.

Sources have alleged that Miley's grief over losing her beloved dog, Floyd, isn't helping her condition: "What Miley is suffering from is much more than an allergic reaction to antibiotics," an insider alleges. "She's really suffering from the death of Floyd. Floyd was her best friend. She feels like a part of her, a big part of her, has died."

The alleged friend of the star adds, according to Showbiz Spy, that Miley is "beyond exhausted physically, mentally and emotionally".

The outspoken singer has hit back at cynics who claim she's suffering from exhaustion caused by partying and the death of her dog though. Taking toTwitter on Thursday (April 17) she told them  to "shut the f**k up and let me heal", posting another link to her previous statement.
