#Rio2016: Usain Bolt remains the fastest man in the world after third consecutive win
If there were any doubts, it took less than 10 seconds – 9.81, to be exact – for Usain Bolt to erase them.
He is the Olympic champion once again.
Usain Bolt has claimed the title of fastest man in the world three times in a row beating American Justin Gatlin to win his third successive gold medal in the 100m final race on Sunday night, running the track in 9.81 seconds at the Rio 2016 Olympics.
"I'm happy and I'm proud of myself. It wasn't perfect execution, but I'm proud of myself. I wanted to set myself apart from everybody else and this is the Olympics, I have to do it.
"I came to this Olympics to win three gold medals, to prove myself again as one of the greats."
Bolt, who hopes to break the world record in the 200m on Thursday – his favorite event – added that he would be disappointed if he did not complete the 'triple triple'.
